Some Background

Tracey started her professional career as a nurse after completing her bachelor’s in nursing, from the University of South Florida. She started off working at Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, Florida after finishing her USF degree in 2003.

Chris attended The University of Pittsburgh for his Freshman year of college in 1999, where he also played ice hockey for the Panther’s ACHA DII Ice Hockey Team.

He joined the United States Air Force shortly thereafter in October of 2000. After Air Force training Chris found himself assigned to a long tour in Okinawa, Japan.

How We Met

In August of 2004, Tracey flew to Okinawa to visit her best friend, Marcy DiGiorgio (Maid Of Honor). Marcy’s husband, Anthony (Groomsman), was also an active duty Air Force enlistee, who happened to be close friends with Chris, & assigned to the same military unit (18th Security Forces Squadron, Kadena AB, Okinawa, Japan).

Tracey & Chris first met in Okinawa during Tracey’s trip to visit her friend Marcy. Chris & Tracey became friends and decided to stay in touch.

Nearly a year later, Chris and Anthony had both been honorably discharged from the U.S.A.F.  In July of 2005, Chris made the trip down to Florida to visit Anthony, Marcy, and Tracey.

The Proposal

A relationship developed and being several states apart couldn’t keep Chris & Tracey away from one another. Eventually, everyone realized some one was going to have to move… because flying back & forth every month was starting to become an inconvenience.

Tracey moved to Pittsburgh in April of 2006.

In April of 2007, Chris & Tracey bought their first home together in the Lincoln Place section of Pittsburgh.

In December, 2007 Santa brought Chris & Tracey a Doberman pup named Barli.  A few months later, in April of 2008, Barli brought Tracey a present she’d never forget… an engagement ring!

Currently…

Chris is currently employed as a City of Pittsburgh Police Officer, and also owns an internet marketing business.  Chris’ business consists of owning & operating several membership websites, in addition to assisting other webmasters on a consultation-type basis.

Tracey is currently employed by Magee Women’s Hospital where she is a Labor & Delivery Nurse.  Tracey is also attending the University of Pittsburgh, where she’s working on her Master’s degree.  Upon completion of her Master’s program Tracey will become a Nurse Practitioner.

Aside from busting bad guys, delivering babies, building websites, and taking Barli for long walks together, Chris & Tracey are working hard to make sure the wedding is the biggest party of 2009.
